Milestones...

Griffin has committed to run track and cross country at South East Missouri State. He wanted to stay close to home and still be able to run D1. I wanted him to be able to find his way and not have to depend on anyone to pay for college....very hard work on his part, and I'm damn proud of him.

For me, I'm just happy to be able to see him keep racing while he gets his college education. Plus, I hear there's some duck hunting down that way. I'd like to get back to checking that out.

It went by way too fast.

Good deal. Exciting times, watching them go through school and growing up. (I'm glad Brad is through with his though).

Congrat!!

Sounds like the boy could have went anywhere he wanted. Very cool he's grounded and staying close to home.

Best of luck to him! Looking forward to more reports of his progress.

I know he was contacted by over 200 colleges. He had made up his mind before the recruiting even started that he wouldn't leave Missouri, so the choices got narrowed pretty quick. I guess I would have been happy no matter what he decided, but I'm REALLY happy to still have him close.

Re: Milestones...

Congrats to him. My brother stayed in state for football and never regretted it. Especially in running which is such an individual sport you can stand out at any school. He made a good choice for him and that's all that counts.

Yep. That's a good deal. He can come home every other weekend so he can get his laundry done and get some good meals.

Seriously...Wishing you all the best
